CHRA's/Cartridges
The Center Housing Rotating Assembly (CHRA), commonly called a cartridge, is the most critical part of a turbocharger. The CHRA/Cartridge utilizes the engine’s exhaust gases to rotate up and over 100,000 revolutions per minute (RPM’s) and compresses incoming air to the engine providing additional power and better fuel economy. When a turbocharger is damaged, replacing the CHRA/Cartridge is often more cost-effective than replacing the entire turbocharger.
Turbo International offers over a thousand different CHRA/Cartridges that are assembled, and high speed balanced in-house in Carlsbad, California USA. We service customers worldwide, including turbocharger rebuilders, distributors, and the diesel specialist repair industry.
